Saddle #195

Alfred Cornish, Omaha Neb. marked vintage roper. This saddle is marked in two places, on the latigo keeper and on the seat. The seat mark is worn, but readable. Here is a highly collectable saddle by a famous shop that started in Omaha in 1864 and continued into the 1950's. I'm certain this is one of the later saddles made. Everything on this saddle looks original with the exception of the rear billets. Looks like the original wool fleece which is in good shape. The saddle could go out and work tomorrow, but I've just been admiring it. The front rigging is a larger flatter ring than a standard D. Didn't have room or I'd have added more pictures of it. Looks like the riggings are brass. This saddle really sits nice, and is truly a worker and a work of art. Contact me for more pictures. Priced at $795.00
