This saddle is consigned and I am proud to offer it. It looks all original to me and is really in good shape, a great example of true craftsmanship in a western saddle.
It's marked Genuine balanced ride and Fallis Saddlery Elbert Colo. The serial number is 5778 646. Has the tasteful tooling and handstitched seat with oak leafs and and acorn. The seat measures 15 from the base of the horn, and 14 from the base of the pommel. the horn does slope out on this saddle as you can see by the pics, it sits like a 15 to me, if you need a 16 inch seat it may not work for you. Saddle doesn't show excessive use and is in good condition with the exception of the fleece which is really starting to shed, looks like insect damage rather than wear to me but it wont be long before it needs a new fleece, it is priced with this in mind. The rigging is sound and solid and so is the tree and horn, the horn has been wrapped at some point with a leather wrap. This saddle could use more leather conditioning, but the leather is strong with only some surface cracks down along the bottom of the fenders. Has a leather latigo on either side, add a cinch it's ready to ride.. Available for a reasonable $1299
