I sure felt lucky when I found this vintage Ozark lether co saddle, luckier yet when it was in my catalog from 1954 on page 6, called the "showman". It listed then for $127.50 and featured solid bronze double dee's, triple nickel-plated spots and a standard seat size of 14 1/2 inches. This is a well made, nice sitting, quality saddle like they made 'em in the 50's. The leather is soft, and it's mostly original except for new strings, and probably the fleece has been replaced, although whoever did it sure did a good job! The bronze dee rings on the front do show considerable wear, and the logo on the fender is worn a bit, but this saddle could still be used and ridden every day. Some of the spots are missing on this good saddle, or I'd be pricing it at well over $1000. It is still very collectable, or come sit in it and if you've got a narrower withered horse you'll be riding off in it. Priced at $485.00
