Here is another loop seat saddle, probably dates back to the late 1800's to 1920. This is actually rideable, and has a 15 inch seat, so more than a few folk's could ride it. It's got a high fork and 5 in + high back, with a deep seat that sits you down about 7 inches into the saddle. This saddle has a distinctive pattern that someone may recognize, but is not maker marked. It is however, stamped with a T- followed by a heart shape on both fenders and the cantle back. The person I bought it from said it belonged to cowboy movie star Tom Hart, but I can not prove or disprove that, so will just leave it as is, it is stamped with those initials. The saddle is not perfect, the horn and cantle have both had repair, the cantle only some stitching, but the horn is actually loose, you wouldn't want to rope off this one to be sure. Other than that, it looks pretty good, the original fleece is shedding some, as they do at this age, but overall it's pretty nice. What a great decorator or conversation piece. Not many of these around in any kind of shape, and this one's pretty darn good for $675.
