Traded in for a balanced ride saddle by a local vet is this Classic marked Hereford from 1958. Serial number is 1101 1058 42291. It's a big heavy duty saddle from that era that's been refleeced and restrung recently. Has the big swept back 14 inch swells and the distinctive cantle that is extra large and I've heard referred to as Elephant eared for style. This saddle is comfortable and has a seat that measures 16 from the base of the horn, it doesn't sit real big for a 16 due to the slopes in the swell and padding in the seat, feels more like a large 15 inch seat to me when I sit in it. Has full bars as I measure and brass inskirt rigging that is solid. Is fully double rigged and comes with rear billets but doesn't have a rear cinch on it, I can add one if you want. The leather is very good for it's age with nothing but minor crazing and the stirrup leather look good, has new blevins buckles on it also. Heavy leather covered stirrups. Priced at about the cost of the reworking and it's a solid rig. $385.
